Children go to bed hungry. Parents skip meals so their sons and daughters can eat. Young boys and girls who dream of becoming teachers, doctors, engineers, or community leaders are instead forced to leave school simply because their families cannot afford the cost of an education.
Poverty steals opportunities long before it steals hope.
At our charity, we believe that no child should have to grow up hungry, and no child should be denied an education because of the circumstances they were born into.
Food brings immediate relief. It gives a hungry child the strength to learn, a parent the comfort of knowing their family will eat, and communities the support they need during difficult times.
But education is what transforms lives for generations.
A meal can feed a family today. An education can help break the cycle of poverty forever.
This is why our work focuses on both. We provide food to families struggling to survive while investing in education that gives children the opportunity to build brighter, more independent futures. Every child who stays in school is another step towards a community that can lift itself out of poverty.
Our work, which has supported vulnerable communities in Pakistan for many years, has now expanded into parts of Africa, allowing us to reach even more families living in some of the world’s poorest communities. The need is great, but so too is the opportunity to make a lasting difference.
